WOW! What an experience we have had. It started in early November when we read a small classified ad in the paper. Dianne Hall from GoWalkabout Travel Ltd was advertising her Australia specialty. This was where we were interested in traveling. After giving Dianne a call one night, checked with our employer, we were booked on a flight leaving at the end of January the same night I had called her (This saved us $ 1200 too). A sincere thank you to Dianne for putting together our "trip of a life time". I was having a difficult time finding a travel agent who could take on the challenge of putting together a month long trip to New Zealand (with a South Pacific stop over added on at the end of the trip), for myself - my 73 year old aunt and my 9 year old son. Choreographing a trip for three very different individuals - who did not want to join a tour per se, but participate in "tour activities", was daunting to several travel companies. I was very lucky that an internet search led me to Dianne at GoWalkabout Travel. We worked together for many months- going back and forth on every detail until the final trip was organized. We refer to our trip to New Zealand as our "trip of a lifetime"- not only due to the distance travelled- but as well- how incredibly enjoyable it was for all of us. A job very well done Dianne! Thanks for doing such a great job in a short time on my flight to Australia at Christmas. You managed to find a ticket that was over $1000 cheaper than anything I could find, as well as get the dates I wanted. Added to this you put me on Qantas for most of the way who provide the fastest jets and best service - e.g. seatback TVs you can select channels on. The seats were better than expected - important for a tall guy like me. The connections were great - I was happy to see a direct Brisbane-LA flight on the way back to Canada - ended up with minimal jet lag for the first time ever. Cheers!
