My wife and I booked our vacation to Australia with a stopover in New Zealand with GoWalkabout Travel this past October.

We spent 23 days between the both countries with 11 days in New Zealand and 12 days in Australia. Intially we were concerned that we would be really short on time to see both countries but Dianne assured us that she would customize a great itinerary for the amount of time we had.

Well she certainly did just that! During our time in New Zealand we got to visit both the North and South Island. We rode the Tranz Alpine train and we got to go horse riding through some of the beautiful scenery where the Hobbit and Lord of The Rings was filmed. We also drank copious amounts of wonderful New Zealand wine!

In Australia we snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef, rode camels at sunrise to view Uluru and went for a hike in the beautiful Blue Mountains.

We feel like we got to see so much in 23 days but we know there is so much more! We could spend the rest of our lives touring both countries and still feel like we have not visited all the amazing areas.

Non of this could have happened without our wonderful travel agent Dianne. Her knowledge and experience was beyond anything we expected.

My wife was so excited to finally hold a Koala (I know it is not a bear) and I finally got to try a surf lesson on Bondi Beach. We found the Aussie people so friendly and feel like we could have stayed their forever.

We just wanted to thank you for the amazing trip that you planned for us to Australia. With 6 people traveling we know it was hard to juggle everyone’s requests but some how you managed to do just that!

Some of our vacation highlights were our 4 night cruise on the Great Barrier Reef where we had so much time to snorkel! Our self drive and wine tour in the Margaret River region of Western Australia was so much fun and a few headaches were had the next day… you are from an amazing area! We loved cycling around Rottnest Island or “Rotto” as you locals call it. Those little Quokka’s are really cute.. we wanted to bring one home with us!

Once again we can not thank you enough for putting this together for us. My daughter is planning to have her honeymoon in Tahiti in 2017 and I have already told her to contact GoWalkabout Travel!

Dianne Hall and GoWalkAbout Travel are amazing. We celebrated our 30th anniversary with a 5 1/2 week trip to New Zealand and Australia. We gave her our dates and she planned every detail. It was perfect from start to finish! It was a trip of a lifetime!! 42 days down under without a mishap. Every thing was working like clockwork. Every person was there to pick us up or to drop us off. If they were late (happened once, accident on a bridge in Sydney, they called and let us know) The side trips were well done, very informative and diversified. The accommodation was sometimes out of this world. Thanks Dianne and it was a pleasure meeting you and you taking the time to meet us in Sydney.

We are back into the reality of life and I think fully recovered. We had a fantastic time!  Thank you so much for the great itinerary.  New Zealand was absolutely beautiful!  Our first week on the South Island we kept saying it couldn’t get any better and it kept getting better.  We did a couple of our tours in the pouring rain but even with that we loved it.  Our overnight on Doubtful Sound was one of the rainy ones but as a result we saw so many waterfalls and were able to kayak in the rain which was a great experience. I loved the Te Anau Glow Worm tour.  Our favorite of all was the Moreaki Wilderness Lodge.  Everything about it was fantastic.  We hiked, we kayaked, we took a late night walk with the host who is a naturalist and his insights enhanced the experience. We saw glow worms and stars like we never had seen before.  It was a great place in the middle of nowhere with lots of birds and the sound of water outside our window.  We would highly recommend it.  We really enjoyed both our farm stays.  The tour in Auckland was good because it showed us the city and the countryside and the dinner cruise was a great way to end our time in New Zealand.

The itinerary was set up with enough time that we could fit in some things that weren’t on the list but we were glad we didn’t miss like a drive through the Crowne Range and the Catlins Coast Drive. We adjusted quickly to the driving and we both kept saying how glad we were that we didn’t do a bus tour and had our trip designed instead!  We liked the B&B’s because we got to visit with other people from around the world.

Thank you again, Dianne.  It was a fantastic trip and we felt we could have stayed a couple more weeks.
